This is a sad document. Lydia is mother to Mike's Grammy Beach, so one of his great-grandmothers. According to this document she succumbed to influenzas in 1918 during the 'Spanish Flu" worldwide pandemic. She was only 35 years old. Aside from her surviving spouse Alfred, she left behind three children including Violet Kemmerer Beach (Mike's grandmother) who would have only been seven years old at the time of her mother's death. Her two brothers would have been thirteen and two respectively. I wonder if Violet had any real memories of her mother.
