Congratulations Tim and Abby on the birth of their new baby Maylee Pearl Beach! From Abby, "She's here and we couldn't be more in love with her." Mom Abby also notes, "Life has been a lot more fun (and chaotic) lately." Welcome to our crazy family Maylee.

Congratulations Jacob Beach! He just completed an associate degree from Bellingham Technical College. The ceremony was at Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham, Washington in late June. He completed his degree in Engineering Technology with a specialization in Mechanical Design. Jake continues his studies at BTC intending to complete his bachelors in about a year. Like so many others in the family, he is completing his studies while working full-time. Way to go Jake! We're all proud of you.
We’ve had several recent milestones within the family. Here are three. Cris Dunn posted about the arrival of her new grandchild. Callen was born to parents Jason and Paige Clough. She notes that “Jason and Paige are very grateful that this little angle has come into their lives.” After a “bit of a rough start” in the NICU, Callen is doing well. Welcome Callen! Congratulations to Jason and Paige! Additionally, Nathan Beach completed his associate degree at Weber State University in Ogen, UT. Nathan is focused on his studies in user interface and user experience (UI/UX) in the computer science department. If all continues as planned, he will complete his baccalaureate by Christmas of this year. Finally, we celebrate Aijah Blackburn for her baptism recently in Grantsville, UT. We are all proud of her decision to make a covenant with Heavenly Father.
"Good thing you made them with extra good things."
Dallin Blackburn (5) to his grandmother, Michelle Beach, on tasting molasses cookies made by her. "I can't wait to be 15 so I can chew bubble gum."
John Coates (4) on looking ahead. "I'm a frog. Frogs have no hair!"
Lucy Beach (3) when her dad tried to brush the snarls out. Over the 4th of July week we enjoyed time in southern Colorado. We stayed on a ranch near Dolores. The week included hiking, horse riding, whitewater rafting, a ride on the Durango to Silverton steam train, visits to Mesa Verde National Park, and a local fireworks show. During the evenings, each family took turns with supplying dinner and an activity of some kind. That resulted in game nights, a book reading, and a ‘Junkyard Joust’ with diecast cars and lots of crashing. "If you don't go potty you will die!"
John Coates (3) just before entering the bathroom. Congratulations to Taya Thorsted Skalka and Logan Skalka. Taya's dad, Rob, commented, "Its official. I have a new son-in-law."
From her father Jerry: "Great day to welcome Sister Dunn home after serving 18 months in Vancouver Washington. So proud of you Brinkley. Excited to see what's next. You have grown so much and our Lord and Savior will bless you. Love you very much!!"
